Two Years of Knowing One Another = A Taco Date (WIAW 11/8)

Hey, hey, hey! Is anyone else glad this election is over? Wheh, it was a whirlwind and I’m just thankful it’s behind us. 😉

So, yesterday Benaiah kept me on my toes. I blame the broccoli I ate the night before for his fussiness. He seemed to be fine one moment, sad the next, and then smiling right after/ we repeated this pattern all day long. Let’s just say by the time last night came, I was wiped.

Anyways, let’s get onto the food!

After sending Landon off to work, I grabbed a cup of steamy coffee, fed Benaiah, and worked on the blog. Once I published my previous post, I had my devotions, grabbed another cup of coffee, and tried to console my sad, little munchkin. It kills me to see him sad and I’m not able to make him feel better.

Thankfully, tummy time came to the rescue and I entertained him with his favorite toys before I made myself breakfast.

I don’t know what happened with my smoothie, but I totally nailed the consistency. When your smoothie tastes almost like a Wendy’s frosty, you know you are doing something right in life.

After breakfast, Benaiah and I played a little bit more together while I cleaned up the kitchen and made my grocery list. I was trying to decide if I wanted to take a couple small grocery trips this week or make one big grocery trip. Since I was at the store, I opted for the latter and left with a cart full of groceries. Might as well get it done, right?

Thank goodness Landon came home just in time to carry the groceries in! He’s the best. And apparently, Benaiah thinks so too. I think he may end up to be a daddy’s boy. Ugh. Those two have my heart. 💙

For lunch, I whipped up a super lazy salad and a homemade breadstick on the side.Oh and an apple because I needed something to spice this lunch up.

After lunch, Benaiah and I snuggled a bit more and I worked on cleaning the rest of the house.

Since, yestersay was the two year anniversary of Landon and I meeting one another, Landon surprised me by taking me out to an upscale Mexican restaurant. He knows the ways to my heart, Mexican food is definitely one of them.

(Notice the above picture- throwback to our first picture as a couple! My, how time does fly.)

Since the lighting was dim, I didn’t get any pictures, but I ordered the talipia tacos with Mexican corn on the side. Oh.my.goodness. So.delicious. They were probably the best tacos I’ve ever had. The fish was cooked perfectly and the tacos (the serving was four mini tacos per plate) were topped with purple cabbage, some type of salsa, and a delicious sauce that I could either drink or top almost all my food with. You get the picture; I’ll be dreaming about them for a while. 😉

Once we got home, we drank some coffee, are a serving of my healthy chocolate, frozen pie, and watched the election coverage. About an hour or so later, I talked myself into working out (a total body workout.) Although I would have preferred to stay bundeled up in my pajamas, my workout left me feeling stronger and refreshed. Yay for late night workouts.

I tried to stay up to see who would win the election, but I didn’t make it. I crashed around eleven and called it a night.

I hope you guys have a great Wednesday with whatever you may be doing!
