Marathons + Green Thumbs (TOL #60)

Hey there guys and happy Thursday morning! Has this week flown by or is it just me? No complaints here, I’m looking forward to the weekend and honestly, I don’t even know what we have planned yet. Maybe I should get on that…

Anyways, thank you Amanda for your weekly TOL hosting!

Without further ado, my brain dump, people.

Look at me go. My thumb isn’t black after all. Maybe it’s because these plants are outside plants and not indoor, but for whatever reason, they are still living – which makes me happy. Funny story on these too: the other day, Landon and I both woke up to a huge hail storm. Naturally, I did what your average person does and immediately leaped out of bed, ran outside barefoot and in my pajamas in order to save my herbs. I did receive quite the war wound (a nice welt on my back) BUT I saved the plants and I felt like a hero for the rest of the day. Win, win.

Speaking of plants, Target had these adorable hanging planters for sale for $5 a piece. I grabbed a couple, but now I am trying to decide what to put in them. I’ve thought about micro greens, herbs, flowers,  and fake plants. Any ideas?!

If you need me, I’ll be squishing these cheeks. Ugh. I can’t even handle the cuteness.

In case you missed it, I shared these yesterday! They are everything you hope a vegetarian dish should be. Filling. Savory. Creamy. Spicy.  Make them now and your taste buds can thank me later 😉

Did anyone else watch the Boston?! I had to watch the replay, BUT Jordan’s story about losing her mom, just months ago and running for her, made me want to bawl my eyeballs out. She placed THIRD in her debut marathon (coming in a 2:23:00 <<< hello fast!)  Wow, just wow.

Speaking of running, I officially signed up for my FIRST EVER MARATHON. I really couldn’t be more excited, nervous and thrilled. All at the same time. How’s that for emotion city? If you guys have ANY marathon training or racing tips, I am all ears! I start official training May 21st and I can’t wait to see how this training, stretches me, tears me down and builds me back up.

Last, but certainly not least, it is this guys’ birthday today. Landon, thank you so much for all you do for our family. Thank you for loving me, even when I don’t deserve it, for treating me like a princess, laughing with me, and supporting me in my goals and dreams. I love your passion for Jesus, your love for Benaiah and I, your sharp mind, your many talents, your skill for soccer, and so much more. We make a great team and I love doing this thing called life with you. Xoxo

On that sappy note, I’ll leave you for today! Talk to you tomorrow!

Questions of the Day
