My Sister Came Through, My Awesome Cleaning Crew, and Pizza in a Casserole Dish: Friday Scenes 8/19

Good morning on this rainy Saturday! It’s pouring over here, and if you ask me, that is the perfect way to start off a slow Saturday.

Landon and I have a relaxing day ahead of us and I couldn’t be more excited!! I love busy Saturday’s, but sometimes slow Saturday’s are needed too.

Before I get too caught up in a long tangent, let’s talk about yesterday…

Friday morning included: detail cleaning my house (nesting phase: going strong), blog work, devotions, and budgeting.

I knew it was going to be a good day when I made the perfect smoothie.

Friday turned out even better when my sister totally delivered on my cravings. She and I were messaging back and forth a couple days ago about how I was craving homemade bread…

And then this turned up. What a gem. Homemade bread delivered to my door. Abby, this could be a weekly thing and I would be okay with that 😉

My mom and sisters not only brought bread, but they brought their muscles, and helped me clean my old apartment. We were able to get 99.98% of it finished in two hours. Victory!

They are champs.

Beautiful champs, that is.

Of course, we fueled overselves well before all that cleaning…Panera, we love you. And let’s be honest, the French baguette is probably my favorite part 😉 did I mention I love carbs?

On Monday, I told Landon that I would make homemade pizza for our date night…but since we were cleaning all day, I didn’t have a chance to pickup the ingredients/ make homemade pizza.

Enter: Quinoa Pizza Casserole! Landon and I loved how it turned out! Once I perfect the recipe, I’ll be sure to share with you all too.

Landon and I spent the rest of the night talking, dreaming, and eating my peanut butter protein bites for dessert. I’d say date night was a success!

Hope you all have a fantastic Saturday!

Questions of the Day

  1. Are you a fan of quinoa!?
  2. Share you Saturday plans- anything fun??
  3. What is your favorite thing to order at Panera…aside from their baguettes of course 😉
