Thinking out Loud XVII: The Racing Itch and more…

Welcome back to Thinking out Loud! Thank you Amanda, once again, for hosting!

Well, it is about that time of year again..the weather is warmer, the sun is shining, and I am getting geared up for another summer of racing! I don’t know if anyone else has experienced this, but racing is addicting! There is a not a lot of feelings that can compare to crossing the finish line.

Anyways, here a couple of races that are upcoming!

1. The Red Shoe run! 5ks are pretty intense if you want to get a good time, my goal: sub 22! (sub 20 would be awesome!) My dad and I are doing this run together. I am so proud of him, he’s been training pretty faithfully and I cannot wait to cheer him on as he crosses the finish line.

Another race that I panned recently…

2. The Biggest Loser Half Marathon- June 20th! My goal for this race: beat my time from last half marathon in Chicago! Sub 1:50.

On a different note…

3. Zevia is the bomb, especially when the weather is warm. This was a new flavor for me and I really enjoyed it! Anybody else like Zevia? What’s your favorite flavor?

4. Our friends from Tennessee are here! It has been so fun to catch up with them. I think they brought the warm weather with them too, it has been in the 60s! Now, I know for some of you guys, that isn’t warm. But for us mid-westerners, this feels like the Bahamas.

5. I know I shared this picture last post, but I wanted to share it again if anybody missed it. Doesn’t it display the glory of God? I am so amazed by the beauty of this world, yet, even more amazed by the beauty of its Creator! So many things are happening in my life that are constantly reminding me of the Lord’s goodness, faithfulness, and love.

6. That’s it for today folks! I have a full day of work ahead of me and better get cleaned up from my cross training. (I may or may not be in my workout clothes now.)

See you tomorrow for Fitness Friday!!
