Since We Last Hungout and My New Favorite Plank Routine

Oh guys, it’s Friday, which means the weekend officially starts today. Today’s plans include an upper body day (and some core work- which I’ll share below with you all), running errands, a conference, and a date night.

Yesterday, I started the morning off with spending time with the Lord and a nice four mile run.

Don’t you just love when the weather is absolutely perfect on your run? I went out early in order to seize the cooler weather and I did! I also met another mother runner on my run and I’m pretty sure if we would have had more time to talk, we could have been best friends. 😉 Does anyone else believe in that “runners connection, runners wave, or nod?” I always cheer on random runners I see on the road and like too give the “nod-of-approval” to  runners that pass me and I pass.

After running, I had a late breakfast that consisted of an egg, my banana bread muffin, and watemelon. Remember that coconut whipped cream I mentioned to you guys yestersay? Well, turns out, if you leave it in the fridge, it hardens and turns into a buttery smooth spread. Guess what topped my muffin yesterday? You guessed it- coconut (whipped cream?) butter! It was beyond good and I’m craving another one just thinking about it.

The rest of the day, was spent running errands, renewing my license, and planning a registry for baby T. Registering for a baby is such foreign concept to me, so if anyone has any tips, I would love to hear them.

Once Landon got home, we had breakfast for dinner (a personal favorite of mine) and spent time at our local library.

Speaking of Landon, early yesterday morning, I asked him to try out my new favorite plank routine with me, and he happily agreed. He’s the best.

This plank routine Janae shared on her blog and I knew immediately, I needed to try it out. Aside from her being an awesome runner, she shares the best tips and tricks that are always winners in my book.

So, thanks Janae for creating this template and workout. Check out her blog post to see all the different plank variations demonstrated.

(HRG stands for her blog, Hungry Runner Girl >>> check her out here.)

This plank routine guys, it’s no joke. I could feel the burn and I loved it. While I was dying, Landon looked like a champ and dominated it. (Of course…) If you guys try it out, let me know what you think!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend with lots of exercise, fresh air, relaxation, and good food.

Questions of the Day:

  1. Share three things you have planned for Saturday!
  2. Do you like planks? What is your favorite plank variation?
  3. If you could share the absolutely necessities/favorites for a baby registry, what would they be?
