Showers, a First Bath, and Other Weekend Things (Weekend Recap 9/19)

Ahh, good morning and happy Monday friends. If you’ll excuse me, I’ll be right back, I need a cup of coffee.

Back, ahh, and much better. I’m usually a Monday lover and I don’t normally experience that dreaded Monday feeling, but today, I woke up and it felt like a Monday. I blame the lack of sleep. 😉

Although today’s off to a sleepy start, I’m hoping that it will shape up to be a good day!

Since this is a recap post, let’s chat about the weekend! This weekend flew by way to quickly, thankfully, Landon and I were able to fit in a lot of fun activities.

Fun activity number 1? Saturday brunch. Since I couldn’t eat runny yolks while pregnant, I’m loving runny eggs lately! So.good. Also bagels- forever a favorite of mine.

After brunch, Landon took Benaiah while I got ready for the big day ahead. Saturday, Benaiah and I went to two showers to attend, which meant I had to pack his diaper bag, grab presents, pack extra things for me, etc.

Getting out of the house with a little one is 200x more difficult.

But, we made it and the baby shower was beautiful. In order to feed Benaiah before the next shower, I left a little early, walked home, and grabbed a few more things before leaving to shower number two.

The second shower was a bridal shower. So fun. I was wondering how Benaiah would handle the long day, but he was a champ and slept most of the time.

Once I got home, Landon and I relaxed, ate dinner, and watched a movie before bed.

Sunday morning started off with feeding Benaiah and protein smoothies. The rest of the morning I scrambled around trying to get ready for church on time.

After church, we spent time napping >>> it felt glorious

and Benaiah had his first full bath!

I didn’t expect him to like it that much, but he loved it! The only part he didn’t like was getting out of the bath. I hear you buddy.

After Benaiah ate, we took a family walk and cruised around town for just over two miles.

It felt so good to get fresh air and exercise with my favorite people.

The rest of the evening Landon and I ate a late dinner and relaxed before bed. And that brings us back to today. Ahh, Monday, let’s do this thing!
