Scenes from Yesterday + Visit with Grandma

DSC_3401

Hello everyone and happy first day of March! Can you believe we are almost out of the winter season? March is one of my favorite months, because it’s my birthday and my sister’s birthday a few days after mine! I also love that March is one month closer to the warm summer months. We had a few days of nice weather here, but the cold weather made a comeback and I can’t help but dream about the summer days ahead.

Anyways, yesterday ended up being a busy, but fun day and I thought I would share a few highlights of the day with you guys!

I kicked off the last day of February with my favorite leg workout and my favorite smoothie. (Excuse the terrible photo!) I love the feeling of endorphins after a hard workout and Tuesday morning I was feeling them. I know it was an effective workout since I can hardly walk today. #nailedit

A little while later, I had my devotions, fed Niah, made an emergency diaper run, and talked to my sister in law (who is pregnant!!) Hannah (sister in law) found out the gender, but she isn’t telling anyone. I guess I will have to be in suspense for another twenty weeks or so. 😉

After a while, I made this huge salad and topped my bed of lettuce with shredded barbecue chicken, quinoa, like three roasted vegetables from the other night, and a mini sweet pepper. I topped it with light Italian dressing and a decent drizzle of tahini. Strange combo, but good.

Our afternoon quickly flew by as I put Benaiah down for his second nap, worked on the blog, and finished getting myself ready for the day.Once Benaiah woke up, I picked up Hannah at school and we headed to my grandmas for a visit.

This guy wasn’t very happy about us leaving though.

On the other hand, Niah loved his time with great grandma and I don’t know who was happier, grandma or Benaiah. Since grandma is the most adorable lady ever, she sent me home with homemade cream of broccoli soup and Landon and I enjoyed a dinner of soup, salad, and bread.

We went to bed shortly after dinner and crashed hard! It was a long (but good) day and I was more than ready to slip under the covers by the end of the evening.

I hope you all have a great Wednesday and a wonderful start to the new month!

Questions of the Day

  1. Name three things you did yesterday!
  2. What is your favorite kind of soup?
  3. Do you have dog? If so, what kind?
