Running, The Mystery of the Missing Camera Charger + Homemade Pizza (Weekend Recap)

DSC_3080

Hey there and good Monday morning! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and are coming to this new week feeling refreshed and rested. Our weekend was a mixture of relaxing with some moments of stress sprinkled in here or there. Although it was a fun weekend, I’m feeling pretty tired coming into this week. I’m hoping that changes after some rest and a couple cups of coffee today.

As usual, let’s start at Saturday morning in order to kick off this weekend recap >>>

Saturday

Saturday morning began with my usual cup of coffee and devotions. After finishing my Bible reading, I quickly jumped on the treadmill and ran a quick three miles before Niah was ready to eat.

Once my run was completed, I went to grab my camera to snap a quick picture when I realized my camera battery was dead. I grabbed my camera and started to look for my camera battery charger, but it was to no avail. I spent the rest of the weekend looking for my charger, but I couldn’t find it for the life of me. So, if anyone could let me know if they’ve found it, that’d be great.

Since I couldn’t take any pictures with my camera this weekend, I ended up having to use my iPhone. Womp, womp. So, excuse the quality photos.

Anyways, after my run and my search for camera charger, I drank my favorite smoothie while Landon left for his soccer game. While Landon played soccer, Benaiah and I spent our morning cleaning the house, snuggling, making Landon breakfast, and organizing. Landon got home close to eleven and once he cleaned up and ate brunch, I left to go grocery shopping – alone.

It’s been a while since I was able to stroll the isle of the grocery store by myself and as weird as it sounds, it was really refreshing. I love to grocery shop, but with the little man it’s not quite as enjoyable as it used to be. After getting my necessary items, I left the store, stopped by Goodwill to drop off some donations, and headed back home to my boys.

The rest of our afternoon was spent eating leftovers, relaxing, and making a simple dinner of roasted vegetables, quinoa, and shredded chicken.
After dinner, Landon and I watched the Emporers New Groove (pretty much the best movie ever) while eating dessert. (Dessert for me = Halo top. Basically my favorite dessert ever.)

Sunday

Saturday night gave us a run for our money when Niah decided it would be cool to wake mom and dad up every hour, all night long. I don’t know exactly what the issue was (he isn’t sick or anything…) but regardless, the three of us did not get much sleep. (i.e. the stress I mentioned earlier.)

Thankfully, church was scheduled for later in the afternoon, which meant we could all sleep in. Landon woke up earlier with Benaiah, but he let me sleep in until 10:30 (which is unheard of around here!). He’s such a wonderful man. (Excuse the recycled picture, but I love this one of the two of them!)

Once I woke up, I fed Niah and afterwards completed a sweaty Pilates video before jumping in the shower. Normally, Sundays are rest days for Landon and I, but because I took Friday off from my typical workout regime, I decided to at least fit in a short and sweet workout before cleaning up and getting ready for church.

We spent our early afternoon relaxing and talking while Benaiah napped and before we knew it, it was time to leave for church.

My look here is called “Bags on Bags.” Thank goodness for makeup!

After a stressful night, our worship service was exactly what I needed and I left our service feeling uplifted and rejuvenated! On a last minute decision, we decided to invite Landon’s brother and girlfriend over for homemade pizzas, salad, conversation, and games.

Once Billy and Jenny left, I went on a cleaning binge and cleaned our entire kitchen, top to bottom. I think I may have been slightly delirious from the lack of sleep, but waking up to a clean kitchen today was worth it. Landon and I ended the night shortly after my cleaning spree. Thankfully, Niah slept better than Saturday night, but guys, I’m pretty tired today. I think I’ll spend the rest of the day catching up on some work emails, drinking quite a few cups of coffee, and meal prepping for the week. I hope you guys had a great weekend and a have restful Monday!
