Eye of the Tiger + Fabulous Runs = a Fabulous Day (TOL #58)

Hey, hey friends! How are you today? Can you believe it’s already Thursday? Thanks to a few full days, this week is flying by; which is fine by me since Landon and I have a fun date night planned for Friday! Woohoo!

Currently, I’m writing this post at 2:11 am, while feeding Benaiah. #momlife going strong.

Big thank you to Amanda for hosting today! If you have stopped by her blog, you must! Her recipes are super delicious and her food photography is on point. I’m hungry just thinking about it.

I’m pretty sure Benaiah has the eye of the tiger stare down, perfectly. He recently learned how to stand up in his crib (oh boy!) and every time he starts getting into a standing position; he makes the most determined face. So funny!

I’ll just pretend it’s warm while I drink my iced tea. Recently, we had the most gorgeous 70 degree day, before the weather decided to snap again. I’m now just pretending it’s warm and waiting for when it truly is. Warm weather, if you could come any time- that’d be great.

Let’s just take a moment to appreciate that Benaiah’s hair is way more stylish than mine. How does this happen?

So, Tuesday I woke up early (5 am!) had early morning devotions, a hot cup of coffee and a fantastic, three mile run, showered and got dressed, all before Benaiah woke up. That my friends, makes for a great twenty-four hours! It’s amazing how a few, simple routines create a great start to the day and really shape how you feel the rest the day.

In case you missed it, I share one of my all time favorite meals – Vegetarian Lentil Tacos, on the blog, yesterday! If you like tacos as much as I do, do yourself a favor and check this fun twist out!

This song. Just yes. This season of is BUSY and if I let myself think about every single thing on the agenda for the next week, I start feeling way overwhelmed. Recently, I’ve been focusing on how God is our Prince of peace. Choosing to focus on the peace that only He can give and abiding in that, is so needed and so powerful.

On that deep note, I’m hopping off to get myself cleaned up from a sweaty run! Nothing like crazy hair horns to start a morning off, right?

I hope you have a fantastic Thursday and I’ll catch you tomorrow!

Questions of the Day

  1. Do you have a current, favorite song? What is it?
  2. What makes you feel most productive in the mornings?
  3. Name one thing you are thinking about!
