Easy, Homemade LaraBars

I don’t know about you, but I really like Larabars. I buy them once in a while, but I find it more fun and tasty when I make my own. With only a few ingredients, you can make a batch of on the go bars which have only a few ingredients in them, and taste just as good as any food bar.

Because I had waaay too much fun making this batch, this recipe has a lot of simple ingredients. I’ll add a basic recipe for those who like more basic things.

 Homemade Larabars – (Bethany Style) 

 Ingredients:

1 c. Raw Almonds

6-7 Pitted Dates

1/3 – 2/3 c. Raisins

1/3 c. Cranberries

1/2 c. Pecans

2/3 c. Almond or Peanut Butter (or enough for the mix to bind together)

1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract

1/2 Tsp. Pure coffee extract

1 Tsp. Cinnamon

1 Tbsp. Honey or Maple Syrup

1/2 Tsp. Sea Salt

1 Tbsp. Local bee pollen (optional)

2 Tbsp. Whey protein

Place all ingredients in food processor and process until dough-like mixture is formed. Press into pan and place in fridge.

Cut bars and serve. Makes approximately 12 bars.  Enjoy!

Also, for those of you who would rather choose what you add in to your bars, here is the basic recipe that you can adjust to your liking.

Basic Larabar Recipe:

Ingredients 

1 c. Almonds

1 C. Dates

2/3 c. Almond Butter

2/3 c. Raisins or any other dried fruit

-Then add in whatever any extra flavors, nuts, or fruit that you want!

After adding all to food processor, blend until smooth. Press into pan and chill. Cut and serve. (Makes approx. 12 bars.)
