A Weekend of Birthday Celebration

Well hello there and happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend and were able to enjoy each day. Landon and I started Saturday off with an early morning (8:30 am!) pediatric appointment. Saturday, Benaiah turned one month old (how!?) which meant he had his one month appointment. Waking up a 6:30 on Saturday morning made me question our decision to schedule his appointment so early on Saturday, but it ended up working well. His appointment went really well, I’ll share more details tomorrow!

After Benaiah’s appointment, we drove home and enjoyed breakfast to help us kick off the rest of the morning.

On the menu? Protein smoothie for the win.

Lately, our little family has had a mixture of busy days, sleepless nights, and full weekends, which meant this Saturday, Landon and I decided to keep it low key. The rest of our Saturday we spent hanging out together, cleaning the house, working, and watching the rain fall.

Benaiah loves watching the rain and seems to have a curiosity for the outside world.

After our relaxing afternoon, Benaiah got a bath (he loves bath time!)

And we ate one of my favorite dinners (stuffed sweet potato!).

We ended the night with The Scorch Trials, has anyone else seen that movie? It was pretty good and definitely got our adrenaline rushing!

Sunday went by so quickly, I hardly got any pictures to document the day. We started off the day with church, a potluck, and then we headed to Landon’s parents’ home to celebrate my brother in law, Billy’s birthday.

They ordered out Chinese (we know how to celebrate!) and we ended the evening with a healthy peanut butter pie. So.good.

Obviously, Benaiah got lots of snuggles. He’s quite popular. 😉
And that’s a wrap! Have a fantastic Monday and we’ll chat tomorrow.

Questions of the Day

  1. What did you do this weekend?
  2. Do you have a favorite ethnic food?
  3. Are you a sweet potato fan?
