A Sunday of Celebration

 Celebration.  It is beautiful part of life.

This Sunday, Landon, the families, and I celebrated. We, first, celebrated our Savior by gathering together with other believers at church and praising our King. It is a blessing to be part of the body of Christ. Landon, the family, and I went to his church, listened to a great sermon, sang, and had blessed fellowship with other believers. I look forward to each Sunday, whether at my church or his. It is a beautiful time when believers of all different ages, backgrounds, and races gather together to honor our King, build each other up, worship and fellowship together.

After celebrating our Savior, we celebrated Landon’s twenty-second birthday together. It was a wonderful time spent with family and friends. We ate, laughed, talked, and ate some more. I don’t think you can go wrong there…. 😉

So, happy, happy birthday Landon, I am so blessed to be part of your life! Thank you for being a strong leader, protector, motivator, and friend. I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for us.

you make me laugh

 Also thank you for making me laugh!

the couples

During lunch, the couples sat together. Finally old enough to be sitting at the adult table…it feels so strange.

We finished Sunday’s get together off with presents.. I think it is safe to say he liked his gifts.

All in all, it was a wonderful weekend! It started off with extra rest, a rushed Sunday morning, great fellowship, a lovely walk, tasty desserts, and much celebration.

There is much to be celebrated in life. Let’s celebrate our King. Let’s celebrate the fact that He gives us life and sustains our very breaths. Let’s rejoice in the free gift of salvation that He extends to those who receive it. And let’s rejoice in all the goodness He so graciously gives.

“And they offered great sacrifices that day and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women and children also rejoiced. And the joy of Jerusalem was heard far away.”

{Nehemiah 12:43 ESV}
