A Sister Sleepover and the Best Pasta Ever (WIAW 10/18)

002

You know your morning is off to a good start when you get to finish an entire hot cup of coffee and your sister texts you saying she’s on her way over for the day, with lunch. That’s right friends, she brought lunch with her beautiful self.

While I waited for Abby to arrive, I fed Benaiah, picked up the house, and got ready to go for a run.

Once Abby arrived, she watched the little one, while I ran a mile and a half. It may not have been my longest run ever, or fastest run, but it was run and I’m happy about that.

After chatting for a couple hours, Abby whipped up these delicious stuffed peppers for lunch that Landon and I thoroughly enjoyed.

Oh yeah, and she also brought pumpkin bread. Winning. I’m pretty sure I could’ve eaten the entire pumpkin bread loaf, I had to practice much self-control. I’ll be honest, I’m already looking forward to a slice today.

After lunch, we got in some fresh air by walking to our favoite coffee shop. And we both got none coffee drinks because we are cool like that. 😉

023

Abby’s chia tea latte was to die for.

016

Benaiah was pretty amused.

And I downed my sparking water. Does anyone else have an obsession with sparkling water or is it just me?

After our non-coffee trip and a BBC movie marathon, I decided to whip up a macaroni and cheese like dish, using a butternut squash for the sauce. The result, a cheesy like sauce that was made with 100% healthy ingredients. I’ll be nice and share with you guys in another post, so keep an eye out for it!

While Landon went to play frisbee, Abby and I spent the rest of the evening watching some more BBC drama (British drama = the best drama, you hear me?) and talking back and forth with Niah. Just this past week, Benaiah has become so much more social. Nothing beats those baby coos and smiles.

I ended the night with another piece of pumpkin bread, because, pumpkin bread and lots of laughs with Landon and Abby.

With a run, a sister sleepover and some delicious fall eats, Tuesday, my friends, was a pretty great day.
