A Crazy Weekend

Good morning and happy Monday to all you lovely people! I hope you all had a great weekend and that your Monday is off to a great start. Although our weekend wasn’t as restful as last weekend, it proved to be fun with a little bit of craziness mixed in.

Let’s start from the beginning, shall we?

Saturday

In my opinion, any good day starts with a good cup of coffee. And Saturday morning I needed it. Niah woke up quite a few times Friday night, which meant a few cups of coffee right away was necessary. Landon also left early Saturday morning for a wedding, so I fueled my longer than normal Saturday with coffee + devotions + a sweaty workout.

I finished a super hard, but super good plyometric workout and then refueled with my typical protein shake. I’ll spare you the picture, since I’m sure you all know by now what they look like. 😉

This week, Benaiah, Landon and I are dog sitting/ house sitting for my parents while they are on vacation, so we spent the rest of Saturday morning packing and getting ready to go over to my in laws before heading to my parents.

After eating a quick salad for lunch and feeding Benaiah, we left for my inlaws and spent a few hours visiting my sister in laws.

I eventually made it to my parent’s house and was greeted by Baldwin, my parents dog, who was hungry and very much in need of company. After feeding him and letting him outside, Benaiah and I got comfortable, unpacked a few things, and I grazed on some salad, nuts, and sipped on another cup of coffee. Landon finally made it back around eight thirty and we ended the night with small bowls of ice cream and family snuggles.

Sunday

Sunday morning started off with a nice little panic attack, thanks to waking up five minutes before we had to leave for church.  (I blame the sleepless night, thanks to the two babies-  Benaiah and Baldwin.) Needless to say, we were late for church and walked in bearing the cone of shame.

Although I was mega stressed getting to church, once we left, I felt super refreshed and relaxed. It’s amazing how getting into the word and being around the body of Christ makes even the hard moments better, right?

Since we had a wild morning, we decided to make the best of the rest of the day and spent time with each other  playing games, eating popcorn, and watching Dick Van Dyke.

We decided to call it an early night and fell asleep before ten. I now officially feel old. This weekend reminded that even when the days are long or days don’t go quite as planned, there is beauty in the moments, you just have to look for them.

Have a great Monday guys! I’ll catch you tomorrow.
